A full examination will be performed on your pet by Dr Shannon Murphy DVM and she will share with you her findings. If she has any concerns about your pet that need to be addressed by a full service clinic, she will provide her recommendations on next steps and referral.
At some visits, we will give a dewormer (pyrantel) to your pets for $5-$10 based on the size of your dog.

Puppies and kittens need a lot of boosters! They need shots at 8 weeks, 12 weeks and 16 weeks to provide adequate immunity in the face of their developing immune system and their slow loss of maternal antibodies. That’s a lot of visits!! $45/visit will cover our travel and brief exam. We’re not gonna lie, we’ll take any excuse to hold a baby animal!!
-
If we diagnosed a problem and wanted to recheck it after treatment, this price would apply. It also will apply to booster vaccines on adult dogs who received their first leptospirosis vaccination or adult cats that received their first FeLV vaccination at the previous visit.
-
Cost of travel was covered already! If we were visiting for a $70 visit already, we’ll charge $50 per additional recheck, booster, puppy or kitten.

We carry Datamars brand microchips. Owners will have to register to PetLink after placement of the microchip.

Heartworm is transmitted by mosquito bites. The heartworm will grow in a dog’s heart and damage it, shortening their lifespan and causing a risk of sudden death. Annual testing is required for prevention. We dispense Heartgard for all weight ranges, and if a pet needs a different brand it can be ordered on our online pharmacy. Heartworm tablets work by killing the young heartworm larvae (microfilariae) inside the dog after they’ve been bit by an infected mosquito.
We carry Proheart 12 (injectable prevention that is effective for 1 year) and Tri-heart tablets. If other means of products are desired, we will go to our Online Pharmacy—which provides manufacturer guarantees unlike Chewy or other online pharmacies.
Heartworm is a serious concern in Colorado now due to heartworm positive dogs entering the state, and due to warmer temperatures throughout the year allowing mosquitoes to survive year-round.

Kittens at 8 weeks of age or older must be tested for FeLV and FIV prior to vaccinating for FeLV. If they have one of these infections, they must be quarantined away from other cats the rest of their life as these are extremely infectious diseases. If we are seeing a kitten, please be prepared for this mandatory test.
-
This is in addition to the cost of physical exam. You will receive paperwork by mail and email. If we are not vaccinating your pet for Rabies at this visit, please provide the Rabies certificate from your other veterinarian as many states and countries require this information be on the travel certificate.

The International Health Certificate will require an additional Endorsement Fee—this goes straight to the USDA, so what they charge is what we charge in addition to the $200 for the veterinarian’s work and follow-up.
What each country requires for pet entry varies dramatically and may have to be address several months in advance, so please visit the APHIS PET TRAVEL to be as prepared as possible! -
