Recommended Preventive Schedule for Dogs
CORE VACCINES:
Rabies at 16 weeks, then every 1-3 years. This is required by Colorado Law.
DA2PP at 8 weeks, 12 weeks, and 16 weeks, then every 1-3 years.
Leptospirosis at 12 weeks and 16 weeks. 3 week booster to start, then every 12 months.
Non-CORE VACCINES:
Bordetella at 16 weeks, then every 6-12 months based on exposure
Lyme and Influenza based on exposure. 3 week booster to start, then every 12 months
Recommended Preventive Schedule for Cats
CORE VACCINES:
Rabies at 16 weeks, then every 1-3 years. This is required by Colorado Law.
FVRCP at 8 weeks, 12 weeks, and 16 weeks.
Non-CORE VACCINES:
FeLV based on exposure. 3 week booster to start, then every 12 months.
Parasite Prevention
Flea & Tick prevention is recommended based on exposure.
All outdoor cats should be on full parasite prevention.
Intestinal deworming 3-4 times through puppyhood and kittenhood.
All Colorado dogs should be on heartworm prevention YEAR ROUND.
